Middy Vella is an New Jersey-based artist and graphic designer recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon’s School of Art, where she studied printmaking, graphic design and business administration.

While in school, she had the privilege of interning as a graphic designer at the Center for Book Arts and Gabriele Wilson Design, as well as acting as Editor-in-Chief for Lemon Publication. She is currently a Junior Cover Designer at Penguin Random House.

Her interactions with drawing, design and typography are characterized by thorough research, playful rendering and meticulous detail. She aims to create work that evokes trust, tenderness and delight.
